At our office, we believe in preventative, high-quality care. We also know prevention isn’t always an option and place great importance on knowing the difference. We understand you only have one set of teeth! Our staff is highly trained in preventing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating diseases of the mouth, teeth and gums, and maintaining the health of the teeth and jaw.
General dentistry includes the treatment of routine tooth decay, cavities and gum disease, including endodontic, periodontal, restorative, and prosthetic procedures, and simple dental extractions. Often, General Dentists treat more complex cases too, including implants, joint disorders and wisdom teeth extraction.
Dr. Espinosa, Dr. Garate, and our staff use dental imaging and x-rays of the teeth and jaw to determine an appropriate course of treatment.
After diagnoses, we will determine which procedures need to be done and always fully explain why, how, and what comes next. We want our patients to be comfortable with their treatment; we also provide home education techniques and materials.
Our office is equipped to perform dental extractions, dental implants, fillings, root canals, dental restoration, inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, veneers, teeth cleaning, and fluoride treatment. We are also authorized to prescribe drugs, x-rays, and orthodontic devices.
We use the most modern techniques to give you back your sparkling, natural looking smile. We are proud to use metal-free fillings, keeping your mouth free of toxins.
Fillings: Bonita Del Rey Dental Care is a metal-free practice that uses only natural looking fillings. We closely match the fillings to your natural tooth color for a flawless smile (bonding). Bonding will blend in with your tooth enamel and look completely natural.
Crowns: Commonly dental crowns are referred to as “caps”, and are used to repair damaged teeth. They also improve the look of your teeth and are made entirely from porcelain.
Bridges: A dental bridge can be used to fill the space left by missing teeth. It is made of one or more false teeth, then fused between two or more of your natural teeth to fill in the gaps and spaces left by missing teeth.
Partials: If one of more of your teeth is missing, a partial denture could be a more affordable option. A customized, partial denture is one or more porcelain replacement teeth attached to a foundation. We will fit your partial so that it will fit comfortably in your mouth, without discomfort.
Dentures: If you have lost your teeth to disease and neglect, a set of dentures can provide a chewing surface, and a new beautiful, natural looking smile.
Dental Implants provide a permanent solution for replacing as many teeth as needed. They are among the most successful dental treatment options around.
Implants are small titanium cylinders that are surgically inserted in the jaw to replace a missing tooth root. A porcelain crown is then attached to the implant.
At our office, staff will take a digital x-ray to look at your jawbone. Based on this clear and accurate image, we will be able to determine if you are a good candidate for implants. If yes, you will be given individualized and custom treatment from beginning to end. The first step is to place the implant and allow for integration into your gum. We then create the crown with our CEREC technology and replace your tooth with a fully functional alternative.
Implants are strong, natural-looking, and have a high success rate. Call us today for a consultation.

Bonita Del Rey Dental Orthodontic Options
Traditional Braces: Orthodontics do not only improve the aesthetics of a smile; orthodontic treatment improves bad bites (malocclusions). Malocclusions occur as a result of tooth or jaw misalignment. Malocclusions affect the way you smile, chew, clean your teeth or feel about your smile.
Ceramic Braces: We love to offer our patients options! Ceramic braces are similar to traditional braces but are made of beautiful ceramic material that makes them virtually invisible!
Ceramic Braces are the popular choice of most adults and are also available in our six-month-braces treatment.
Invisalign: Invisalign braces provide an invisible way to get straight teeth without metal braces or wires. Invisalign is a series of clear, molded removable braces that gradually achieve straight teeth
Cosmetic Dentistry (bonding, porcelain veneers, whitening and complete smile makeovers)
Why live with cracked, stained, or chipped teeth? After years of experience in cosmetic dentistry and thousands of patients, we have perfected our methods to restore and improve your most beautiful, natural-looking smile with quick, painless, and surprisingly affordable treatments.
Cosmetic dental treatments can:
- Lighten or brighten the color of your teeth.
- Change the size, shape, and alignment of certain teeth.
- Fill in unattractive spaces between your teeth.
- Improve or correct your bite.
Tooth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment that will change the color of your natural tooth enamel. We use the most advanced teeth whitening technology available to give your the most dramatic results in very little time. After just one visit, your smile will be whiter and brighter!
There are a number of ways to whiten your teeth. In recent years, the most popular method is the home tooth whitening system, which has proven to effectively whiten teeth dramatically. However, tooth whitening is not permanent. An occasional touch-up may be necessary every several years, especially if you smoke, drink coffee, tea, or wine.
If you choose to have your teeth whitened professionally, we look at the “big picture” and evaluate your teeth, including the need for replacement of any old fillings and crowns so that any replacement dental work will match your newly whitened teeth.
When do we recommend tooth whitening?
- If you just want whiter teeth!
- Fluorosis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).
- Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
- Yellow, brown stained teeth.
Restorative Dentistry includes white fillings, porcelain crowns, and bridges.
When seriously decayed, weakened, broken or missing teeth cause pain or threaten your smile, we can help.
At Bonita Del Rey Dental, we use only the most current, up-to-date techniques such as fillings, bonding, crowns, onlays, inlays and bridges; our full and partial dentures will restore your beautiful, natural-looking smile.

Pain Free Anasthesia
Bonita Del Rey dental care is now using a new computerized anesthesia system called STA or Single Tooth Anesthesia. The STA system releases a precise amount of anesthesia throughout your dental procedure to insure no pain either from the injections or the work your dentist is doing. Only the area worked on is numbed!
The STA needle doesn’t even look like a syringe! The tiny needle is significantly smaller than traditional dental needles (it looks like a wand or pen with a small needle at the end) and eliminates the typical numbness and often embarrassing drooling that you normally experience from a trip to the dentist.
Diode lasers have revolutionized the way we deliver dental care. Dr. Espinosa uses this wonderful technology, performing numerous dental procedures with more comfort and presicion than ever before in dentistry.
Gum laser surgery provides sculpting of the gums and treatment of gum disease, most of the time without anesthetic, bleeding and swelling and a reduced chance of infection. Compared to older and more conventional treatments, laser dentistry provides a pain free way and allows for a speedy recovery.
Isolite is the revolutionary dental device that is improving dentistry. Dr. Espinosa was among the first practitioners to embrace this innovative technology . Why? With this technology we are able to reduce treatment times by 20-50%, making the appointments shorter and way more comfortable for our patients.
Imagine a dental appoinment when you don’t need to stress to keep your mouth open, don’t feel like you have to spit or swallow during the procedure, and are able to finish in half the time!
With the implementation of this technology use LESS RADIATION as the equipment used in digital radiography exposes dental patients to much less radiation. In fact, digital X-rays use up to 90 percent less radiation than film X-ray.
We are able to make Shorter Dental Appointments, with digital radiography, the sensor develops the picture almost instantly and projects it onto a computer screen right before your eyes.
Higher Quality Images, once on the screen, digital X-rays can be enlarged or magnified for a better visual of the tooth’s structure. Brightness, contrast and color can also be adjusted, allowing your dentist to see small cavities easier.
